224. Dom Pachino - "The Last Armageddon Alpha & Omega"
Terrorist shit! Dom Pachino aka P.R. Terrorist, Ex-Soldat der Killarmy, bietet zum Schluss seiner Laufbahn noch mal ordentlich Gegenleistung für den Cheddar. Sein finales Album "The Last Armageddon: Alpha & Omega" enthält als Alpha das Rerelease seines Werkes "Tera Iz Him" und als "Omega" brandneue Wu-Tracks. Auf letzteren liefert Dom Pachino über klassisch-dramatische Killarmy-Beats gewohnt klassische Hip Hop/Weisheits-Themen und Angriffe auf Fake-Emcees ab. Absoluter Lichtblick: Killa Sin. Der mit Abstand talentierteste Tang-MC greift nach Knastaufenthalt auch noch mal zum Mic ("Ez Killingz").

223. V.A. - "Ruff Ryders - Past, Present, Future"
Ernsthafte Reunion oder purer Business-Move? Außer The Lox um Jadakiss, Sheek und Styles P und Produzent Swizz Beatz liefen in den letzten Jahren keine Ruff Ryder wirklich heiß. So wirkt das "Past, Present, Future"-Album wie ein Versuch, um die leider nur durchschnittlich talentierte Zukunft um Mook und Shella am Markt zu positionieren. Warum sonst sollten die beiden die Hauptlast des Albums tragen? Klar, der Posse-Track "World's Greatest" knüpft an vergangene Hymnen an, auf "Get Your Money Up" spuckt DMX noch mit der alten Proleten-Attitüde und auch Eve flowt beim "Hot Steppa" wieder First Lady-Wildkatzen-like. Man überreiche mir jedoch als Präsent nur ein bisschen Present und ganz viel Past(a).
