$20000 to go to Town Hall repairs
Hampton Falls - Details on the proposed renovations to the part of the town hall gear were revealed last week.
Peter Robart, chairman of the City to improve, walked to select 19 October to discuss the plan, the financing was to come in part from a $ 20,000 to a reserve fund dedicated to capital improvement of the City Council.
He said the proposed plan, estimated at $ 27 567 would represent the "best use" of funds generated by Section office.
The TIC is currently developing a long-term plan to identify, process and implement the necessary repairs to the vast structure.
The detailed project by Robart is a joint effort by the ICT and energy of the city and includes a range of work to replace / repair the windows for adding insulation on several levels.
"This is the plan we have forward tonight," said Robart, noting that an estimated "within four weeks, weather permitting" to complete the work.
The two committees worked together to determine the extent of repairs needed and how to make the building more energy efficient.
Based on observations Robart, the project appears not to be considered a miracle situation.
"As we went, we began to realize that there are many problems with the city," said Robart, adding that the "building is a bit of a bastard" in the way of some odd architectural styles.
This is especially true for windows, some of which have added new storms. Others will be completely replaced with new insert thermo pane-type wood windows that will match the historic style of the building.
In addition, existing storm windows will be removed from the three front windows on the second story; these will be replaced with new interior air control panels.
Painting Plywood Floors - News
The problem is, what about flooring? My contractor wants to take up the tile and paint the plywood, which he thinks is nailed down, but I doubt it will wear well, and I don't think it would look particularly nice. I'd prefer to take up the plywood,

We chose to save money and finish the plywood floor under the linoleum bit of sanding, painting and sealing the plywood directly. If you look beyond the fact we were without an oven and had limited access in the refrigerator for a week and had to rely on fast food and the kindness of friends for dinner, it was a very painful process. If you want to try your luck again ground to a pretty impressive on the cheap, here's the process we used.
Materials:
• Plywood flooring, either already installed or install it yourself.Make sure this is not the subfloor itself as all the wear would not be good for her. • and a large orbital sander random orbital sander Pocket
Process
1. Discover the floor you have to work with. We found plywood under our linoleum bit horrible and we spent a weekend preparing by first removing all the quarter round with a prybar and peeling linoleum sheets using a variety of sizes of metal putty knives . As linoleum and glue remained was heated gently with a heat lamp, then slowly scraped.
2.After all remaining bits of adhesive and flooring has been cleared, we rented an orbital sander for the afternoon. Using sandpaper of 50 first, then 80 grains, Regan went to the ground several times, overcome many defects as possible and large, generally smoothing the floor for application of primer. We did not expect a completely smooth surface of the plywood bit rough considering we were using as a basis, but Regan was able to sand the heck out of most defects, using the orbital important to the center of the room and the handheld to the perimeter.
It is a sanding belt.
3.After sanding is complete, you will need to clean the floor. Vacuum with a vacuum cleaner, sweeping with a broom and a damp cloth, then with mineral spirits and go over the entire floor to remove the remaining dust. Keep on hand a broom at all times. It's amazing how difficult it is to keep a clean floor, even when not using the room at all.
