Jeffrey Schlecht, Omaha Truck Center, Named Top Technician for Second Year
/ CNW / - Jeffrey Schlecht, a technician for the Omaha Truck Center, in Norfolk, Nebraska, has been recognized as a technician Top Truck of the nation, as he was awarded grand champion for the second consecutive year at the Technology & Maintenance Council (TMC) 2011 National Technician Skills Competition TMCSuperTech2011 held September 19 to 21 in Raleigh, NCSchlecht has strong links with the trucking industry. He is the son of a truck technician retired and the brother of a truck driver who started his career as a technician diesel.The graduate WyoTech gives credit for its technical training center of his employer and his efforts to keep all the current concession technicians on both basic skills and new equipment.
Although Schlecht did not win any individual competitions station skills as he did last year, he has consistently scored high for each station that brought him first place and grants totaling more than $ 20,000.
