Quest Name: In Defiant Challenge
Start Location: Maat (H-5) Ru’Lude Gardens
The first quest to raise your limits is a hunt for three items that Maat requires for unknown reasons. You can trigger this quest from the moment you hit Lv50, but you can start collecting the items long before that if you can. The unfortunate thing about this quest and some of the others to break your level limit is that they are impossible to do alone at your capped level so you require finding help.
The three items you need to find for Maat are;
·Bomb Coal (dropped from Explosures in Garliage Citadel)
·Exoray Mold (dropped from Exoray in Crawler’s Nest)
·Piece of Ancient Papyrus (dropped from Lich in Eldieme Necropolis)
The Explosures in the citadel are not far past the first banishing gate (the gate requires four people to open). Head past the first gate down into the cavern areas as if you were heading to the second banishing gate and you will pass two of these Bomb enemies. The drop rate from them is extremely high but not 100%. Having a Summoner or Beastmaster to solo a bomb makes it easy, if you can’t find one to help a combination of other high level jobs would do as long as you have at least one person you can stun Self Destruct.
You might actually come across Exoray Mold as you level in parties naturally as, pre Lv50, you will fight the occasional Exoray inside the nest. From leveling in that dungeon the ‘donut’ room will become known to you (it’s the rounded chamber with the secret room in it). In the donut room is a side room filled with Exoray and there is also some wandering around the rest of the donut room too. An Lv45 average party can take them with relative ease but in smaller numbers, any Lv75 could solo one for you easily. The drop rate is average. If you go back at Lv50 with similar level friends bring echo drops.
The piece of papyrus fast becomes a dreaded item for all players thanks to a mixture of rare monsters to kill to try for it and a horrible low drop rate. You will need the most help for this one, a healer and a tank of some kind that are both Lv60+ for a start. The Lich monsters con as Easy Prey to Lv75 players. When you enter the necropolis you will follow a linear path until there is a split eventually, take the left path and hug the left wall. Eventually you will reach a room with one or two Lich and another undead.
Undead aggro but do not link, so as long as you aren’t detected you can pull one at a time. Once you’ve killed these and need more double back and take the left passage (left as you now see it, when first turning into that passage it would have been right), it will stretch and then open into one of the rooms filled with open graves. You will need Sneak to pass by safely if you are low level. Follow the passage at the far end of this room to find one or two more Lich. Going between these two camps as the monsters respawn (15 minutes timer) is the safety bet for getting the item. If you did want to look for more there are some in the deepest bottom floor.
When you finally have all three items trade all of them to Maat at the same time and the old man will reward you with your first level break, raising your cap to Lv55.
